hi, i read your blog regularly though this is my first comment on the blog.
Today, I tried the same recipe (instead of kovakkaai, I tried kathirikaai). The recipe turned out very ordinary. Though people at home didn't mind eating it, I didn't feel good about it. It had a bitter taste to it which am wondering how to avoid.
Should kathirikaai be prepared differently?
Hi MT, Kovakkai curry looks delicious. Thanks for sharing.
MT I cook this dish often but with just sambhar powder and not much else. Will have to try adding this powder

Hi bindhu,
Kathirikkai can be prepared this way. When making with kathirikkai add few spoons of tamarind juice and little jaggery to take away bitterness. Thanks. Keep visiting.
